cranky (but truthful and to the point) blog from a 50+ american who moved to Brasil to retire and found life here so expensive she had to keep working like a dog earning ethe equivalent of peanuts.Doesn´t suffer fools gladly and is constantly amazed at the shenanigans that go on in this country.

Going Native (more ant commentary)
How do you know you´ve gone native in Brasil? When you dont bother to pick the tiny ants out of the sugar and just stir them into your coffee or tea and rationalize this with the thought "they`re protein" LOL
