WOO HOO! Pires is out!!!(and I dont mean of the closet!)

seems like Mr President was listening to my rant about the air traffic control system! Yesterday President Da Silva replaced Waldir Pires! hopefully Mr Lula is realizing that having these old Dictatorship-era dinosaurs in postions of power just dont have what it takes to get this country pulled up and out of the mud and bring it into the 21st century! Seems there was much hand-wringing and teeth gnashing on the part of the president as apparently it is hard to get rid of them especially if they happened to be close friends of our dear departed Antonio Carlos Magalhaes. However, as Mr Malgahaes passed away last week it seems that his death removed the threat of any serious repercussions with the act of dumping Pires as we all know it just wouldnt do to upset ACM....Ok Mr Jobim SHOW US WHAT YOU´RE MADE OF. My friend was talking to me the other day saying she wanted to visit me in brasil and I advised her to not fly here until next year when hopefully things will be in better shape.
